Please keep your complaints, comments and concerns brief and to the point so we can answer them in a timely manner.

Starting 2/25: All players are required to wear similar, matching, numbered jersey the same color as their teammates. If team does not have the required jerseys, a technical foul will be imposed at the start of the game.  Please contact the league if you need help with uniforms.

Each game will consist of two twenty minute halves with a three minute intermission between halves. Each half will have a continuous clock until the final minute of the first half and the final two minutes of the second half.

Both teams must be ready to play at scheduled time. FORFEIT TIME IS 10 MINUTES AFTER GAME TIME! Teams must be ready to play at scheduled time with a minimum of 4 players.  Game length can be shortened in cases of delayed starts.  Teams that forfeit must pay $70 to cover refs' fees.

Each team will be allowed two (2) 20 second time-outs per half. No Carryovers. One additional time out will be given to each team if the game goes to overtime.

Use of profanity by the players or spectators will not be tolerated. Wives, children, girlfriends and parents attend our games. Please remember we are using the facilities of a religious order.

Substitution is allowed only during a dead ball when the referee has the ball.

All Technical fouls will result in two shots and possession. Any unsportsmanlike technical fouls will result in a personal foul for the offending player. Each player is allowed six (6) total fouls per game. Teams will shoot one and one when team fouls reaches seven. At ten team fouls (per half) the team will shoot two free throws.

Two technical fouls given to same player will result in game ejection and that player will be suspended from the teams next game (regular season or playoffs). Three technical fouls on one team will result in forfeit. (Unsportsmanlike technical fouls only). Players assessed four technical fouls in one season (including playoffs) will be suspended for the remainder of that season.

The referee will be the sole judge of the time clock.

The referee’s decision is final and cannot be protested.

Only the designated team captain may talk to or question the referee during the game.

Only players who have played in at least three (3) of their team's regular season games are eligible to participate in the playoffs.

Teams or players that do not comply with LI Hoops league rules will be terminated from the league.  Teams or players terminated from the league will forfeit all fees paid. Teams that forfeit a game are subject to termination from the league and will forfeit any fees paid.
